Player performance ratings for Liverpool versus Nottm Forest

In Andoni Iraola's inaugural home Premier League fixture as head coach, Liverpool played to a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Here are my individual player ratings, and you can compare them with your own assessments below.

Alisson: Although beaten convincingly for Dan Ndoye's goal, Alisson produced an outstanding save against Igor Jesus just before half-time, which kept Liverpool in contention. However, he committed a poor foul that led to Gibbs-White's penalty. (5)

Jeremie Frimpong: He struggled defensively but managed to advance into promising attacking positions. He contributed significantly to Florian Wirtz's disallowed goal, but was marginally offside. He needs to improve the consistency of his final delivery. (6)

Jeremy Jacquet: Jacquet made a crucial intervention to prevent Igor Jesus from scoring an early goal and impressed generally, though he displayed some lapses in focus and discipline at times. (6)

Virgil van Dijk: He will undoubtedly be frustrated by how easily Liverpool's defense was breached for Ndoye's opening goal and the straightforward manner in which Forest earned their penalty. (6)

Milos Kerkez: The Liverpool left-back delivered a poor performance, frequently giving away possession carelessly. Kostas Tsimikas replaced him in the 71st minute. (5)

Dominik Szoboszlai: He maintained his usual solid form and demonstrated significantly improved defensive awareness compared to his previous match against Newcastle. (6)

Alexis Mac Allister: Back in the starting lineup, Mac Allister delivered a superb reverse pass to Cody Gakpo early on. However, he was physically unable to contend with Igor Jesus during the build-up to Ndoye's goal. (6)

Cody Gakpo: Starting on the right flank in what could have been his final Liverpool appearance, Gakpo was effective. He provided a excellent pass for Wirtz and then skillfully created an opportunity for Victor Munoz. He neglected his defensive duties for Forest's first goal, but brilliantly set up Alexander Isak's equaliser. (7)

Florian Wirtz: He consistently posed an offensive threat and was unfortunate not to score, as a neat finish was ruled out due to Frimpong being offside, and Matz Sels skillfully tipped over a powerful header. He assisted Munoz's goal. (7)

Victor Munoz: Making his first start for Liverpool, Munoz played in his preferred left-sided role. The Spanish player was direct and had a penalty claim rejected, but he should have tested Sels with a first-half shot from inside the box that went wide. He scored a spectacular goal in front of the Kop to level the game and secure a point for Liverpool. (7)

Alexander Isak: With only six touches and no shots on target in the first half, Isak redeemed a forgettable opening 45 minutes by scoring the first equaliser on the hour mark. This goal, achieved with only his ninth touch of the game, will significantly boost his confidence. (6)

Matz Sels: Sels commanded his area well, and his long punt upfield initiated the play leading to Ndoye's goal. He made an excellent save from Wirtz but was soundly beaten by Gakpo's cross for Isak's equaliser and had no chance against Munoz's powerful strike. (5)

Jair Cunha: Despite a strong display, he will acknowledge that he could have performed better in preventing Isak's goal. (6)

Nikola Milenkovic: He was part of a Forest defensive line that initially made it exceptionally challenging for Liverpool to break through. (6)

Murillo: Murillo fearlessly carried the ball forward and put in a solid performance, but was decisively beaten by Munoz for the goal that made the score 2-2. His continued presence at Forest remains crucial for the team. (6)
